Abstract
Quantum information science and technology has become a research field in physics education in recent years. The purpose of this paper is to provide an overview of the approaches used and experiences in teaching quantum physics (QP). A short questionnaire with 8 questions was distributed within the GIREP community. 92 respondents were counted as 51 filled questionnaires that could be analyzed. The results show that some strategies are specific for some educational levels, others are used throughout. The instructors are concerned by learning difficulties and perceive own difficulties in explaining quantum phenomena. Questions raised by respondents cover as well basic concerns as the practical realization of a QP course.
